if you missed part 1 and want to read: The Tackle please go here, The doctor / surgeon, a local lad, looks like a bit of a flash Herbert but he come highly recommend as a knee guy, “Drop you pants and sit on the bed” he say’s I get the feeling that he’s said that before. Then he start yanking at my leg, up, down, sideways, holding my leg down and say push into my hand. I can barely hold back the tears of pain from spilling out, I so need to punch him across the room. “Tell me if you feel any discomfort” he says in a kind of knowing way “a little” i respond trying hard to display my battle of Britain stiff upper lip demeanor, as we lock eyes into what could be called a death stare.

Yes I am afraid you have a torn ALC (anterior cruciate ligament), he goes over to his desk to get a model knee to show me what need to be done, meanwhile I pull my trouser back on desperately trying to regain some of my dignity. After a very detailed explanation of this ligament and that bone, my mind is singing ” thigh bone connected to my shin bone, shin bone connected to my ankle bone, ankle bone connected to my …. you know the rest.

Then whoa hold your horses big fella your going to harvest some what from my where, Don’t you just hate it when you hear the words Harvest in connection to your body. This sent a big shiver down my spine. He is serious, he is going to take a portion of my hamstring and fold it up a few time and this will be my new ACL. “Don’t worry you wont feel a thing” he say’s somehow he’s not making me feel any better. We complete the necessary paperwork and I am booked in to the fancy private hospital next to the park ( thank you, thank you private health insurance you have been fleecing me for years, now its pay back time ) I feel marginally better at this stage, we shake hands and I leave, I linger slightly on the hand shake examining those skilled hands and master fingers that will ultimately be holding the knife that cuts me deep, I am happy, well manicured just the right amount of squeeze in his grip and very steady.

The pain was unbearable my left knee was victim to a crunching high tackle from a Neanderthal defender who was sent knuckles dragging to the dressing room by the bright red card of the ref.
Meanwhile the trainer was on the pitch faster than superman ( the star center forward was down ) carrying the full medical kit by that I mean a bucket of cold water and a sponge. ” I saw the whole thing the dirty @$/-@&$&:@” after unblocking my ears from the 10 minutes of ranting from the coach I limped to the bench.

The ice pack did its work but by the many knowing looks and quite head shaking i new the damage had been done, “son did you hear a popping sound when you went down” said the coach, was he psychic did he have a sixth sense, ” I did here it, but how could you have known” I blurted out almost incoherently, the pain killers were kicking in by know. The coach looked me straight in the eye with a steely gaze you only see in the movies, his lips trembled as he spoke the words that will ring in my ears for eternity ” Son your ACL is FuxxxD ”

People always want to do better at what they do, and not stay constant or unmoving. They usually do not want to be just good at what they do; they strive to be better at it, if not be the best. This is a good philosophy to have in life, as it opens up opportunities for better things. Being stuck with just now and not moving forward do not present much opportunity for a better life. It is always better to surpass their own record, and stretch their limits to bring out the best in them.

This is commonly seen in the world of sports. People become professional athletes because they have the skills, and they are good at the sports they play. But, they still have to train hard and constantly improve and enhance their skills and strength, in order to stay on top of the game. They need to be constantly on their toes and never take anything for granted, to maintain their winning streak.

Players and athletes often go to rigorous trainings when they have matches coming up. They also have to stay in shape, so they have their own forms of exercises to keep their bodies in the best condition. They have to work with what they have, and make sure they perform at their best every time. Doing the same thing over and over might make them not appreciate what they do anymore, so it is important that they keep training, and make sure they have what it takes to win.

Like in volleyball, for example. Strategies for winning would include how they hit the ball and score a point. It would also include strategies for blocking and spiking. With these game plays and strategies, it is important that they have high vertical leap. The higher they can jump, the better they can deliver their best plays and strategies. This is the reason why the players have jumping exercises in their volleyball training.

There are also some training programs to help athletes jump higher. These programs include exercises that would strengthen their core muscles, and enhance their jumping skills. Their balance is also being worked on so they do not get injuries while they are playing. Of course, as part of the discipline, they also have to maintain good physique and body condition, so they are able to play their abilities as hard as they can.

People are fascinated by modern pieces of exercise equipment or fancy new diets with elaborate meal plans. But sometimes going back to the basics can produce the best results you’ll ever see. Running has become somewhat lost in all of the attention paid to new-fangled exercises or workout routines. But it will always be an easy way to get your heart rate up and an excellent exercise to improve your overall fitness. Best of all, it’s totally free and you can do it in any type of environment you want. Rather than making your workout routine more complex, you can bring it back to the simplest level and get better results. Here are some beginner tips for anyone who wants to get running again.

Set Reasonable Goals – everybody starts off incredibly motivated when they first begin their weight loss or fitness program. This can be a good thing to get you off to a strong start, but you also have to be careful about going overboard. A lot of people come out of the gate with too much enthusiasm and end up hurting themselves right away. It’s important to set reasonable goals and interval stages so that you can achieve them. If you haven’t been active in quite some time, don’t try to sprint a marathon in just a few days.

Get the Right Shoes – no matter how much they cost, it’s always worthwhile to get a good pair of running shoes that will support your body. The only downside of consistent running is that it can sometimes impact your joints and muscles in a negative way. But with a good pair of running shoes that match your style, you won’t have to worry about this factor. When it comes to buying good shoes, make sure to ask questions and compare different products while reading reviews.

Warm Up Right – there has always been a bit of debate over whether stretching should be a part of your running routine. Some people say you should stretch in order to get your muscles ready while other people argue against it. But warming up is important nevertheless and if you don’t want to risk it, then gradually build up your pace of running with brisk walking first. This will help you to build up your heart rate while getting your body prepare for more intense activity.

Good Posture – it’s absolutely essential that you maintain good posture throughout your running routine. Otherwise you can incur injury or develop bad posture along the way. You’ll find a good posture and proper technique will also make things easier in the end.

Hydrate properly – even when you don’t exercise, your body runs through an incredible amount of water each and every day. And if you happen to be embarking upon a fast weight loss program, it’s even more essential to hydrate properly. You can go with sports drinks but there’s nothing wrong with water either. In fact, you might want to forgo those extra calories contained in sports drinks if you’re trying to lose weight at the same time. And just as important as hydrating, make sure to give your body the fuel it needs in the form of proper nutrition. Stay away from high cholesterol foods that will make you slower and keep up your metabolism with healthy snacking.

Bring a Friend – motivation always becomes a factor of eventually when it comes to running. This is why it’s a great idea to find tips and tricks that will help to keep you interested. While you might want to embark upon your running routine by yourself for the first little while, you might find in listing the help of a friend to make it more enjoyable. Better yet, when two people are responsible for keeping each other on track, it really helps with the overall motivation.

Snowboarding is a good outdoor sport. But like all other outdoors sports, this sport is dangerous. Your safety will rely on how you ride down the hill. If you ride down a hill using an unfavorable stance angle, you are compromising your safety. To get the correct stance angle and to snowboard as well, you need to have snowboard bindings.

Snowboard bindings are attached to your board and you slip your feet in it to make you and your snowboard become one. You can control your snowboard with ease with the help of snowboard bindings. There are two types of snowboard bindings. The first one is a strap-on binding and a slip-on binding. The strap-on binding is the commonly used snowboard binding because it gives the snowboarder great control on his or her snowboard. The slip-on binding is easier to use in terms of slipping your feet in and out of it but when it comes to controlling the board, you will have a difficult time controlling it.

No matter what type of snowboard binding you use, you need to have it secured and on the right stance angle. To get the right stance angle, you need to try it out on a carpeted floor to get the results quickly. When you are done getting the right stance angle, check on the straps of the snowboard bindings. Make sure that the straps of the snowboard bindings are not too tight because it will be uncomfortable in your part and you might risk yourself when you snowboard.

Snowboarding is getting popular to teens, adults, and even children today. When snowboarding, always make sure to wear safety gear and clothing to protect you from the cold. Also, you should have a good snowboard binding so that you will be riding down the hill safely and easily. If you want to take a look at good snowboard bindings, you can check out Burton Snowboard Bindings. They offer good snowboard bindings that are durable and will really bind your feet to your snowboard well. They come in many designs so find the best one for you, ride those hills, and always mind your safety when you snowboard.

Having parents who are both active and sports minded, my brothers, sister and I grew up as sports enthusiasts. My father runs 5k marathons and plays bowling, my mother plays bowling and squash. Both my brothers play football and baseball and my sister plays badminton while I play volleyball.

We practically know how to play every basic sports there are but we prefer to play the sport in which we excel at. But being too active and sports minded has given us some minor problems. Both my parents have been complaining about sore backs and discomforts and so do my brothers. Having been examined by the doctor, my parents’ discomforts and complaints were mostly due to age and stress that takes a toll on their bodies, which was fairly common for people their age.

My brothers on the other hand had more serious problems. One had a sprain and the other a strain on their back. The doctor said that it was probably caused by playing football, seeing as how it was a contact sport. The doctor recommended that both my parents wear a brace for posture support. It would alleviate the stress in their backs and reverse the damage that wear and tear, not to mention age has caused to their back. My brothers needed back support braces to ease the tension on their back muscles and to help the muscles support the weight of their upper body which causes the tension. The back support brace devices would also help relieve the pain and aches and prevent further damage to the sprained and strained muscle or ligament.

It is a good thing my sister and I do not have any such problems for now and we both hope not to get any. But if we do, we hope that t would be nothing serious that a back brace could not mend.

There are many things that you may think you’ll never look good doing again and one of those things may be going to pool. Who wants to go to the pool flat-chested in a swimsuit? Maybe you just avoid the pool completely now? I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to worry about going to the pool and feeling ashamed ever again. There are ways to make your body look good! Breast prosthesis for swimming and swimsuits may be the answer for you.

Prosthesis swim forms are available in a variety of different options. The most popular option is a silicon form. These forms have a concave back, which lets water flow through it without losing its shape. They are also lighter than regular silicon prosthesis, which will let you move freely around without being weighted down in front. Silicon breast forms also fit nicely into mastectomy swimsuit’s pockets. They also look natural and feel natural on you.

Non-silicon prosthesis swim forms are also available to you. Most regular non silicon breast forms also work well for mastectomy swimsuits. They hold their shape well and are very comfortable to wear. Although they won’t feel like a natural breast, they will look like one. They are so lightweight that you barely remember that you are wearing them. Non-silicon breast forms slide nicely into your swimsuit’s pockets too and will stay there all day.

There is another less costly option available to you. Although I do not recommend it, some women will use bath puffs or scrubby to slide inside their mastectomy swimsuit’s pockets. If not shape just right, they will not look natural and they definitely won’t feel natural.

Don’t feel ashamed of your body at the pool ever again! Try a breast form that is made for the water, and will look and feel natural. Look today for breast prosthesis for swimming to get you back on your way to pool again.

Natural running is something which has gradually developed over the last few years in the West, but which has been practised for many years in African countries. And since many of the world’s greatest endurance runners come from Kenya or Ethiopia, it’s little wonder the rest of us are starting to take notice of their running styles. Natural running relies less on the high-tech cushioning systems found in many modern running shoes, and in some extreme cases leads to people running barefoot – remember Zola Budd? Here are a few reasons to consider trying out natural or barefoot-style running for yourself.

1. It’s how we all started off running when we were toddlers. We were probably exploring our world once we had mastered walking, and the next step was to run around and have fun. The method was perfectly natural in order to ward off any injuries while not wearing any shoes. So gone were the heel strikes common to most adult runners today. Instead, the foot lands on the midfoot or forefoot very gently, and underneath the body’s center of mass. This is how natural running form is taught, combined with fast cadence and short stride length. So in essence barefoot style running is natural, and what better reason do we need to try it out.

2. The move to proper running form will also cause less injuries if you do it properly. There is no need to ditch shoes completely even though some people do still like to include a little barefoot training in their routines – on soft surfaces like grass or the beach. There are several companies which sell minimalist running shoes to help you get back to a more natural feel when running. The most important thing is to make any changes very slowly. You will be taking pressure off your knees and hips, but will begin to load up your calves and Achilles tendons. So do not be tempted to carry on with a new running style by jumping feet-first into a half marathon. Do it slowly and gradually, almost as if you were returning to running after an injury. Eventually your muscles and tendons will get used to the new workload and you can build from there.

3. The other great thing about natural running is that it is far more efficient than heel-striking. So you will be able to run faster while expending less energy. A heel strike automatically applies the brakes, as you then have to flatten your foot, and pivot your body via the hip to get back into position for the next stride. This takes time and you lose any rebound energy – or elastic recoil. Using a more minimalist style allows you to take advantage of elastic recoil and there is very little braking during the stride cycle, so you run faster and far more efficiently.

These are excellent reasons to have a go at barefoot-style running, even if you are a little cynical. Try it out, and if you don’t feel any faster, or if your shin splints don’t disappear, then go back to your old style. But if you are serious about your running times, take a look at the majority of the pro athletes. You will be hard-pressed to find any of them running with a heel strike these days.

However, most of the time after trying hard we end up not getting it at all. What seems to be the problem? Well, either you have not given everything all you have yet or you are simply doing the wrong things. If your problem is the first one, then we don’t have much to do about it since motivation comes from within. However, we have the right guidelines to help you avoid doing the wrong things. Here is the 5 fastest, not to mention reliable ways to lose belly fat.

Drink water alone

Yes, if you want fast belly fat loss you need to consider drinking water alone for the week or better yet for a month. But this is not totally possible, however you can always make it a priority to drink water other than common beverages that gives you a lot of calories. Drinks you need to avoid and control include the following.

Beer or any other alcoholic beverages

Sugary juice and other drinks

Coffee especially with heavy creams and other add-ons

Colas and other carbonated drinks

Natural foods alone

Yes, another challenge for you is to eat natural food items most of the time. You should eat healthy food items like fruits, veggies, whole grain, lean protein and so on. These foods are low in calories and they contain high amounts of nutrients. You don’t have to worry how to prepare them, as long as you add them in your meal that’s fine. You either eat them raw, put in a salad, or learn some simple recipes to make the most of these foods.

Small frequent meals

Small frequent meals make you lose fat by boosting metabolism and decreasing appetite. This is done by eating small (natural and healthy dishes) and increasing the frequency up to 6 meals a day. Use even and accurate intervals, let’s say every 2 hours to make it work. The body will think that constant food is in the stomach, responding by increasing digestion. With the same reason, you have lesser appetite due to the feel of being full.

Workout combo

Workout combo means adding cardio exercise and other fat burning activities with the muscle forming activities. These are the necessary activities to have. You just devote 1 hour or so (preferably 1 hour and 30 minutes) daily cardio exercise (fat burning). While two to three days for muscle forming activities including abdominal crunches, cycling, leg raise and overall strength training.

Get involved into sports, outdoor activities, or simply a healthy hobby

No need for explanation, more activities and the more fun it gets the better.

This list is the fastest way to lose belly fat but also the safest. That’s why you have here a good catch. No need to look for methods that makes you pay more and not even get you results or worse, gives you risks.

Most people think that they don’t have time to workout during the day. I’m not here to tell you to make time for yourself, if you don’t want to workout that’s your problem. It only takes thirty minutes to an hour three times a week to help you lose weight and get in shape. But if you don’t have that time than you should find other ways of keeping yourself in shape. So if you don’t currently workout on a normal basis you need to be on a low calorie food diet. Watching your calories is very important when trying to watch your weight. If time is the factor and going to the gym just takes to long than maybe you should look into buying a cheap home workout machine. A pull up bar will help you reach your weight loss goals in no time at all. I have one hanging on one of my doors in my hallway and I make it a must to workout on it whenever I walk past.

Fitness equipment makes working out a whole lot easier. But if you don’t have time you don’t have time. There is a good exercise to do without fitness equipment and it only takes a couple of seconds and it will start to make you look more tone the more you do it. If you simply start flexing more throughout the day and holding your flexed muscles for a ten or fifteen seconds you will start to look more tone. If you can do hat and also start doing breathing exercises you are on your way to helping yourself just that much more. I know the best time for me to run is first thing in the morning. That way I get it out of the way and I actually feel better during the day because of it.
